Sample captures

20 captures. One capture method.

Machine shops, museums, flood losses, universities, model homes, a Cybertruck on a trade show floor. Pick anything on the list and walk through it — this is the range the same camera covers.

Machine shop · industrial floor, equipment clearances, measurediGUIDE sample tour

Every one of these was captured with the same camera and the same method that documents your building. Sample tours are iGUIDE reference captures, used with permission — they demonstrate the technology, not our past projects. Ours replace them as clients clear permission.

What this list is actually showing you

The building type changes. The method doesn't.

Scale is not a problem

A rental unit and a recreation center are the same workflow. Volume changes how long we're on site; it doesn't change what comes out the other end.

Condition is not a problem

A fire loss and a model home capture identically. One of them just has a harder story attached.

Geometry is not a problem

Vaulted church ceilings, ship halls, irregular museum volumes. This is exactly where hand measurement falls apart and LiDAR doesn't notice.

What to look at, and what to ignore

Sample packages are marketing artifacts, ours included, and the useful way to read anybody's is to look past the presentation at four specific things:

  • Is the CAD file there, or only a picture of one? A rendered image of a floor plan tells you nothing about whether the deliverable is layered, editable and drawn to scale. Ask for the actual DWG.
  • Are the layers separated and named to a standard? Open it and look. A drawing where everything sits on layer 0 is a drawing your team will spend a day cleaning up.
  • Is there a stated tolerance anywhere? If a vendor will not put an accuracy figure in writing, that absence is the answer. Here is ours, and where it is not good enough.
  • Does the walkthrough measure? A tour you can only look at is a different product from a tour you can take a dimension out of.

What these are, plainly

These are iGUIDE platform reference captures, not RevealBuilt client projects. They exist to show you what the camera and the deliverable pipeline actually produce — the resolution, the measuring tools, the plan quality — because that is the part you are buying, and it is identical regardless of who operates the equipment.

We would rather say that than dress up a vendor demo as a portfolio. Client work replaces these as it clears permission; several categories — secured facilities, licensed operations, active litigation — will never appear here at all, because those clients do not permit it.

Getting a sample of your own building

The most useful sample is not ours. For a portfolio engagement, capturing one building first — at the normal published price, with the full deliverable set — tells you more than any sample package can, because your team opens the files in their own software against their own standards. If it does not work for them, you have learned that for the cost of one building rather than twelve. That is usually the right way to start.
