Where the money is
Equipment installations, line reconfigurations and capital projects are priced against assumptions about the building. When the assumption is wrong the correction happens on site, at the worst possible rate, usually during a shutdown window that cannot be extended.
The largest single job values on our list live here, because the cost of getting it wrong is enormous.

Can you work during a shutdown window?
Yes, and it is usually the right time. Capture is fast enough to fit inside a window that has no slack in it.
Safety requirements?
Send your site induction and PPE requirements with the scope. Certificates of insurance provided on request.
Can you capture at height or in confined space?
We capture what can be safely reached from the floor and from accessible platforms. Anything requiring specialized access should be scoped explicitly.
Commissioning drift
An industrial plant is documented properly exactly once, at commissioning, and then diverges from that documentation for the rest of its operating life. A line is reconfigured. A conveyor is extended. A tank is added and the maintenance walkway around it is fabricated on site by somebody who is now retired. None of it generates a drawing revision.
Twenty years of that, and the plant drawing is a historical document. The cost lands when somebody plans a line relocation, an equipment replacement or a capacity expansion against it, and the clearance turns out not to exist.
What we document
- Equipment footprints as installed, with the actual clearances around them rather than the design clearances.
- Overhead constraints — structure, ductwork, piping, conduit runs and the real available height under each of them, which is what kills more relocation plans than anything else.
- Utility drops and service points as they exist at the equipment.
- Circulation and egress — aisles, forklift routes, doors, and the pinch points that were never on a plan.
- Crane and hoist coverage geometry where relevant to a layout question.
The tolerance conversation, up front
Measurement here is about one centimeter on distances, roughly 1% on area. That is the correct tool for layout planning, clearance verification, relocation studies, capacity planning and existing-conditions modeling.
It is the wrong tool if you are fitting fabricated steel or a machine base to millimeter tolerance. That needs a terrestrial laser scan from a firm that runs one, and ordering steel off a centimeter-accurate measurement is a mistake that is discovered on site with a crane already booked. Capturing a working plant
Capture is tripod-based, non-contact, requires no power and needs nothing shut down — which means it can usually happen during production rather than during a shutdown window. Where a shutdown is the only safe access, we schedule into it and work fast, because that window is the most expensive time on any plant's calendar. We arrive in PPE, follow your site induction, and take an escort wherever your safety process requires one.
What does a plant cost?
Single-building industrial engagements typically run $10,000–$80,000. Heavy MEP or industrial complexity carries a published 50% uplift, and a 100,000 ft² plant is quoted rather than calculated. A specific area — one line, one hall — is often the sensible place to start and is far cheaper.
Can you model it in Revit?
Yes, at LOD 200 from what is observable. Why LOD 200 is the honest level for an as-built — we will not assert what is inside a wall or a housing we did not open.

NDA before quoting. Files are yours, not retained as portfolio material, and never shown as a sample without written permission.
