Terms of service
The terms under which RevealBuilt provides documentation and photography services. Last updated August 25, 2026.
Scope and quotes
All work is performed against a written quote issued after scoping. Quotes are fixed for the scope described and valid for 30 days. A change in scope produces a revised quote before additional work proceeds.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
- The client provides site access and a safely walkable space at the scheduled time. The equipment is battery powered and needs no site power.
- Cancellation or reschedule with less than 48 hours' notice may be billed at 50% of the engagement value.
- If access is unavailable on arrival, the visit may be billed as a mobilization.
Deliverables and revisions
Standard turnaround is 48–72 hours from capture unless otherwise agreed. Drawings are delivered on AIA standard layers. One round of revisions covering labeling and annotation is included; remapping to a custom office layer standard and further revision rounds are quoted.
Accuracy
Capture is performed with laser-based equipment carrying a published specification of approximately 1 cm wall distance uncertainty — about 0.5% on distance and 1% on square footage — consistent with ANSI Z765, which permits up to 2%. We state the manufacturer's published specification and make no representation beyond it. Deliverables are not a boundary survey and are not a substitute for a licensed land survey or an engineered structural assessment.
Ownership and license
- On payment in full, the client owns the delivered files for use in their business without ongoing fees.
- RevealBuilt retains the right to use non-confidential project imagery for marketing only with written permission.
- Work covered by an NDA is governed by that NDA.
Payment
Terms are stated on the quote. Travel and mobilization for out-of-state engagements may be invoiced in advance. Forensic engagements require a retainer before testimony is scheduled.
Forensic and litigation engagements
RevealBuilt produces measured, dated records of physical conditions and will testify as to capture method, equipment, date and chain of custody. We do not provide opinions on causation, standard of care, liability or damages. Testimony is billed at published rates and is never contingent on the outcome of a matter.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, arising from use of the deliverables.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
